When the cravings call this season, you’ll have a new way to answer.
A 90-minute group tapping session for women who are tired of taking care of everything and everyone, and are ready to take care of themselves.
It’s that time of year again.
The calendar fills up. The to-do list gets longer. And everyone seems to need something from you Somewhere between the shopping, the hosting, the cooking and keeping everyone else happy, the cravings start calling. And they don’t all come from the dessert table.
Some of them sound like this:
😕It’s 11 p.m. The last gift is wrapped, and you’re eating cookies straight out of the tin. You’re not hungry. You’re done.
😕You go back for a second plate at the party because it’s easier than making small talk with people you barely know.
😕You bake the pie nobody likes, because it’s tradition. Then you eat it, because it’s tradition.
And some of them sound like this:
😕You’re sitting in the car in the driveway for an extra five minutes, because it’s the only quiet you’ve had all day.
😕You’re craving one weekend where you don’t have to be anywhere, host anyone or smile through it.
😕You’re surrounded by people at a family dinner and you still feel completely alone. Or you’re alone this year, and every commercial reminds you.
😕You wish someone, anyone, would take care of you for once. Then January arrives with its “new year, new you” pressure. You’re supposed to want a fresh start, but what you really want is a nap.
Too much taking care of everything and everyone else. Not enough taking care of you.
If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. And there’s nothing wrong with you.
So what are you really craving?
Are you craving less right now?
- Less emotional eating
- Less of the “have-to-because-it’s-tradition” days
- Less pressure to make everything perfect for everyone
- Less of feeling lonely, even in a full room
Or are you craving more?
- More inner peace
- More quiet
- More time alone, the kind you don’t have to hide in the pantry to get
- More of you, left over for you
Here’s what I’ve noticed: the cookie and the craving for quiet often come from the same place. A nervous system that’s been running on “everyone else first” for far too long. When there’s no room for what you really need, your body reaches for the fastest relief it can find.
This isn't about willpower. It never is.
You know what to eat. You’ve read the articles. You’ve made the promises (“not this year”). You’ve white-knuckled your way through the dessert table, and through one more event you didn’t want to go to.
And yet you can’t out-diet, out-plan or out-discipline a feeling. Cravings don’t usually start in your stomach. They start in your nervous system.
And that’s not just a nice idea. Brain-imaging research has found that emotional distress can make comfort food look more rewarding to the brain. Stress literally turns up the volume on the cookie. The overwhelm, the loneliness and the “I have to hold it all together” pile up until your body reaches for relief. Sometimes that’s food. Sometimes it’s escaping, numbing out or saying yes when you mean no.
So instead of fighting the craving, what if you calmed the feeling underneath it? When the feeling settles, the craving loses much of its pull. You don’t have to force it. That’s the shift we make together on The Cravings Call.
How tapping works (yes, it looks a little odd )
On every call, we use EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), often called “tapping.”
You focus on a specific feeling, like the dread of the family dinner, the late-night urge to snack, or the loneliness that shows up when everyone else seems to be celebrating. While you focus on it, you gently tap with your fingertips on acupressure points on your face and upper body. It works on the same principles as acupuncture, with no needles.
Tapping sends a calming signal to the amygdala, the part of your brain that detects threat. Your body gets the message that it’s safe. When the stress response quiets down, the urge to reach for relief often quiets down with it. Tapping doesn’t ask you to think your way out of a feeling. It works at the body level first, so the shift that follows feels real, not forced.
One hour. In a group. Measurable results.
Researchers at Bond University measured the stress hormone cortisol before and after an hour of EFT tapping, done in groups. Cortisol dropped by 43%. Every Cravings Call gives you 90 minutes of exactly that: tapping in a group, with women who get it.
You have to feel it to believe it.
Why I Created The Cravings Call
If you’ve been to one of my ‘Confidence on the Course’ sessions, you may remember me mentioning that the tapping I teach and use with clients is also used in the treatment of PTSD. It’s a remarkably effective way to address stress.
- EFT is used by the U.S. Veterans Administration for PTSD treatment.
- It’s now covered by Original Medicare for anxiety, depression, and chronic pain.
That Medicare news hit close to home for me. In my late 20s and early 30s, I took antidepressant medication for depression. It is its own kind of hell, and I know how heavy this season can feel when you’re carrying something no one else can see. I was also obese as a child and had to be put on a medically supervised diet at the age of 12 (that is a story for another day or ask me on the call!).
We’re heading into the last two months of 2026. For many women, this can be a stressful, anxious, lonely or even depressing time of year. Too much taking care of everything and everyone else, and not enough taking care of yourself.
Given what I know, I wanted to do something meaningful for women that could help them in the months ahead.
So I did. This is it. And because this season doesn’t let up after one week, The Cravings Call doesn’t either. It runs all through November and December, so you can come back whenever you need it.
Yes, there’s research on tapping and food cravings
In a pilot study at Bond University, adults with strong food cravings did four weeks of group EFT tapping. Their cravings dropped significantly compared with a group that didn’t tap. Then the researchers looked at their brains. When the tapping group viewed photos of high-calorie foods, the areas linked to reward and craving had quieted down. In the group that didn’t tap, those same areas lit up just like before. Most of the participants were women. And the craving they chose to tap on most often? Chocolate. (Sound like anyone you know?)
In a larger study of 96 adults, the improvements in cravings, and in how much control food seemed to have over them, held up a year later.

What We Do Together On Each Call
First, I invite someone to volunteer what’s going on for them that they’d like to change. Then: We name the real craving. We look at what’s underneath the cookie, the second glass, the escape and the “I’ll start fresh in January.” And we…
- Tap on the pressure. We tap together on the holiday stress, the obligations, the people-pleasing and the feeling of “it all falls on me.”
- Tap on the loneliness. If this season feels more empty than merry, we make room for that too, without judgment.
- Tap for the “more.” We make space for more peace, more quiet and more of you.
- Tap on the January pressure. We let go of the “new year, new you” guilt before it even starts.
Learn to do it yourself. You’ll leave knowing how to tap on your own at home, so you have a tool ready when you need it this season.
Every call meets you where you are that day. The week before Thanksgiving feels different from the week after Christmas, and so do the calls.
Your camera can stay off. You can tap along quietly and still get the benefit. You never have to share anything you don’t want to.

The Cravings Call is for you if...
You’re the one who makes the holidays happen for everyone else
You eat to cope with stress, boredom, loneliness or exhaustion, and you’re tired of the guilt that follows
Traditions feel more like obligations this year
You’re craving quiet, peace or just a minute to yourself
This season feels lonely or heavy, and you’d rather not go through it alone
It’s probably not for you if you’re looking for a meal plan, a diet or a “lose 10 pounds by New Year’s” promise. This call is about how you feel, not what’s on your plate.
In case you're wondering:
Do I have to sign up for the full two months?
No – this is a weekly call. It runs from the week of November 9th to the end of December 2026.
I've never tapped before. Can I still join?
Abso-frigging-lutely! I’ll walk you through every step, and you’ll just tap along. Most first-timers say it seemed off for about two minutes and then felt good.
Do I have to talk or share on the call?
No – all you need to do is bring your cravings to the call. You’ll still benefit from tapping along while others share.
What if I register and then can't make it live?
You’ll get the replay to keep for every call you register for so you can tap along whenever it works for you. Since there are several calls you’ll have the opportunity to register (purchase) and join another one live if you’d like that experience.
Will this completely stop my cravings?
I won’t promise that because, depending on the craving there may be more layers to it than what we can address in a group call in 90 minutes. What I do know for sure is that tapping can lower the stress and emotional charge that so often drives cravings, so you have more choice in the moment. Many women find that’s the part they’ve been missing.
Is this a replacement for therapy or medication?
No. The Cravings Call is a supportive group experience, not medical or mental health treatment. Please keep working with your healthcare providers, and don’t change any medication without talking to your doctor.
This season, take care of you too.
You’ll spend the next two months making the season good for everyone else.
Give yourself 90 minutes. Then come back and do it again whenever you need to. Not to fix yourself. You’re not broken. Just to let go of some of what you’ve been carrying, so you have more room for peace, more room for quiet, and more room for you.
Whether you’re craving less (less emotional eating, less obligation, less loneliness) or craving more (more peace, more quiet, more you), it starts in the same place. When you calm the feeling, you change what you reach for.
That’s possibility thinking turning into possibility doing.
P.S. If you know a woman who carries the holidays on her shoulders every year, forward her this page. It might be the best gift she gets this season.
